FAQ

What exactly is being rated?

The startup idea visible from public evidence and the quality of its public website. Revenue, funding, team quality, and private company metrics are not scored.

Can payment improve a score or rank?

No. The score is finished before checkout exists. The global board is ordered by score; payment only makes an eligible score visible there.

Can I score the same website again?

Yes, once every 24 hours per website. Until then, you’ll see the cached result. Scores and share images are free. A one-time $10 domain pass includes deeper analysis and global board placement. Only someone with the buyer’s private access key can update the listing, using the newest eligible score. Updates are included.

Why three judges per area?

Each judge works independently. StartupBench takes the median for every criterion, reducing the effect of one unusually high or low judgment.

Is my result private?

Your scores, criterion ratings, share images and a short preview of one strength, one improvement and one criterion are public. Scores may appear in recent activity. The full analysis requires the domain pass holder’s access key; StartupBench’s own report is open as an example. Improvement scenarios are illustrative, not new ratings or board positions.

Do I need an account?

No. Stripe handles optional one-time payments. After paying, save your access key from the score page: it restores your analysis and listing controls on another device. Keep it private, like a password.

Can a score be corrected or removed?

Yes. Send the score URL and your request to support@startupbench.app. Public evidence and scoring mistakes can be reviewed, and lawful removal requests are honored.
